I have always had a strict rule that no Christmas would be heard or seen in our home until Thanksgiving. However, with the children begging to hear some Christmas music we turned it on. I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I promise not to put Christmas music on the blog until Thanksgiving.

Melonie. How are you? We begin around Thanksgiving. Since the children have come along it somtimes is a week after. It takes me a while to decorate. Scott says he is starting early this year...he left the Christmas lights hanging outside from last year!! Normally I'd say something along the lines.."You might be a redneck if..." But since he's been working so hard I haven't.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Christmas! We begin on Thanksgiving morning by making gingerbread houses. This is something the children enjoy so much! We take them to someone elderly or homebound. Then, the Saturday after, we put up our tree and decorate.
ReplyDeleteWe were married on December 20th...I named my first child Noel..Christmas is SO special to me. The children are practicing their Christmas piano music, and we start listening to it around this time, but do not decorate till after Thanksgiving. We have a big Thanksgiving meal with family here, and that season is a blessed time, also. We'll put up the tree and decorate for Christmas very soon after the company has gone home.
